Kidoory began with a single, simple wish: that a small child could hold a book and say — with absolute wonder and certainty — "This is MY story."
Not a book with their name inserted into a template. Not a story that could have been about any child. A story that knew them. That included their best friend, their favourite things, their funny habits, their biggest dream. A story that could only ever have been written for them.
We are a small company — Solo Digital Ltd — registered in England & Wales. We're not a large corporation. We're a small team with a very big belief: that every child deserves to see themselves as the hero of their own story.
Kidoory was built with love for a very specific little person. A small child who inspired us to stop just imagining this product and actually build it — even though it meant learning, failing, trying again, and building through the night.
Every book we create carries that same love forward to another family. When a child opens a Kidoory book and says "How did they KNOW?!" — that moment is why we exist.
We looked at the personalised book market and saw that most products did something simple: they took a pre-written story and replaced placeholder text with a child's name. The result was polished, but it wasn't truly personal.
We believed AI had finally reached the point where something genuinely remarkable was possible: a story that could read the actual details of a real child's life and weave them into a narrative that felt magical and true. So we built it.
When you're asking parents to share details about their children, trust is everything. We made a deliberate decision from day one: your child's personal information would never reach our servers. It would stay in your browser, be used to generate the story, and then be gone.
This wasn't the easy choice — it's technically more complex. But it was the right choice. We sleep better knowing we cannot be hacked for children's data because we simply don't have it.
We're proud of what we've built and transparent about how it works:
We're just getting started. We plan to add more story themes, more languages, illustrations matched to your child's description, and eventually — books for adults who want their own story told. But we'll always keep what makes Kidoory different: the deep personalisation, the privacy-first approach, and the belief that every single book should feel like it was written for that child and no one else.
Thank you for trusting us with something so precious. We don't take it lightly.
